Lower back pain is one of the most common forms of pain, fortunately it's treatable. Here are a few ways to alleviate lower back pain.
.) Maintaining good posture, you can accomplish this by pulling the gluteal region inwards and even clenching the area a little. When lifting something, you should always keep your abdomen tight and pulled in and bend at your knees. Aviod lifting with your back, as this could cause an injury.
.) Take supplements. Certain supplements can help with chronic pain. Turmeric is good for reducing inflammation, skullcap is known to loosen skeletal muscles, and magnesium promotes muscle health and relaxation.
.) Use hot and cold therapy. When your muscles get tight use moist heat not dry and also use a cold ice pack or bag of peas. Alternate between the two.
.) Use a backpack instead of a large over the shoulder bag as this could be tough on your back putting all of the weight in one place. By using a backpack this distributes the weight evenly so that no one part of your back is carrying too much.
