It's tough to get all the built up grim off from inside your oven and stove top. I put together easy steps to follow to help tackle the cleaning of your stove and oven.
First, lets start with the stove top:
Step 1. Wash all burners with warm water and dishwashing detergent to remove any initial film.
Step 2. Mix together baking soda and water until it forms a thick paste.
Step 3. Coat all burners with the paste and let it stand for 20 minutes.
Step 4. Use a scrub brush to scrub off the food residue and rinse thoroughly.
Next, clean inside the oven:
Step 1. In a small bowl, mix 1/2 cup of baking soda and 3 tablespoons of water.
Step 2. Spread the paste all over the interior surfaces of your oven, do not put the paste on the heating elements.
Step 3. Let the paste sit in your oven overnight.
Step 4. Take a damp cloth and wipe out as much of the dried paste as you can. Use a plastic or silicone spatula to help scrape off the rest of the paste if needed.
Step 5. Put a small amount of vinegar in a spray bottle and spritz everywhere you see baking soda residue.
Step 6. Take a damp cloth and wipe out the foamy vinegar-baking soda mixture.
Lastly, clean your oven racks:
Step 1. Line the bottom of your bathtub with two old towels, this will prevent your bathtub from getting scratched.
Step 2. Cover the racks completely with very hot water.
Step 3. Put 1/2 cup of dishwasher detergent in the tub.
Step 4. Swish the detergent and water around. Soak the racks for at least four hours, or overnight.
Step 5. Use a non-abrasive brush or sponge to wipe off the gunk and stains.
Step 6. Rinse with water and completely dry before putting them back in your oven.
